Presidential campaign enters final days

The streets of Koror are expected to be packed today with campaigners wooing voters as the campaign period is drawing to a close.

Series of big rallies have been held by the rival camps of presidential candidates Johnson Toribiong and Tommy Remengesau Jr. since the campaign period entered the final week.

Yesterday, Toribiong held rally at Long Island Park while Remengesau held rally in Ngiwal. Today is the last day to campaign in Koror, where majority of the voters reside and work. But in other states, campaigning will still be allowed on the day of the election.

Meanwhile, the Palau Election Commission is getting ready for the upcoming elections. Installation of voting booths in different polling places will commence tonight.
